Sarah B. Bryczkowski, MD, FACS, is a board-certified robotic and general surgeon at Somerset Surgical Associates, LLC, serving adults living in and around Somerville, New Jersey, and throughout Somerset County. Dr. Bryczkowski earned her medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University – Piscataway Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey. After graduation, she completed residency training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark and a fellowship in robotic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. Dr. Bryczkowski proudly holds membership in several professional organizations. She’s a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), where she’s on the Robotics Committee. Dr. Bryczkowski performs various types of surgery, but she specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. When she isn’t meeting with patients or performing operations, she enjoys contributing to medical research. Dr. Bryczkowski is the author of various publications and regularly speaks at and moderates national conferences. Obi J. Imegwu, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon at Somerset Surgical Associates, LLC, providing complete surgical care to adults living in and around Somerville, New Jersey. Dr. Imegwu began his professional education at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, earning his Bachelor of Arts. After graduation, Dr. Imegwu enrolled at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and obtained his medical degree. Before entering private practice, he completed a general surgery residency and a research fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, New York. He also completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School – Rutgers University (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) in Newark. Dr. Imegwu is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association. As a surgeon, he has special interests in minimally invasive surgery as well as open and minimally invasive vascular surgery. Dr. Imegwu loves getting to know his patients. His attention to detail and caring bedside manner earned him a Patient Choice Award in 2011 as well as Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2011 and 2012. Thangamani Seenivasan, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical oncologist serving adults living in and around Somerville, New Jersey, and throughout Somerset County. Dr. Seenivasan was born and raised in India. He earned his undergraduate medical degrees from Stanley Medical College in Tamil Nadu, where he also received postgraduate surgical training. In 1991, Dr. Seenivasan moved to England and completed two surgery residencies: one at Kent & Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury and another at Middlesex Hospital in London. A few years later, Dr. Seenivasan moved to New York City and enrolled in a general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. Before entering private practice, he completed a surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Dr. Seenivasan is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Seenivasan is also the Director of Surgical Oncology of the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. He’s also an officer of the medical staff at Somerset Medical Center. Dr. Seenivasan is passionate about innovation — he’s developed protocols to treat people whose cancer has spread to the liver using radiofrequency ablation. He also specializes in robotic surgery and advanced laparoscopic techniques. Dr. Seenivasan is passionate about advancing cancer treatment and is well-versed in caring for complex issues. His work hasn’t gone unnoticed — Dr. Seenivasan was named one of New Jersey’s “Top Doctors” of 2009, 2012, and 2013 by NJ Monthly Magazine. Dr. Seenivasan performed an emergency appendectomy on me a few weeks ago and did a great job! The procedure was laparoscopic and left minimal scarring. No complaints there. But the remarkable care I received AFTER the procedure at Somerset Medical Center is worth mentioning. The nursing staff is phenomenal. I was admitted for two days, interestingly to the oncology ward, I believe, and not for a minute were the nurses too busy to address my immediate needs. I'm alive today because of them.
